What is a case study?
A case study is a written or video profile of a real-life product or service application, presented from the point-of-view of the customer, proving how your company provided a successful solution to an existing problem or challenge.
If your communications program does not include the muscle of powerful case studies — talk to us, we can help.
Here are the reasons why your outreach into your marketplaces needs the vitality of case studies.
1.) Case studies are “proof through performance.”
Every company “claims” that its products and services are great, but a case study proves those claims through actual, on-the-job performance.
A case study “shows” success instead of just talking about success.
2.) Case studies provide built-in credibility.
You can tell your story — or your customers can tell your story. Which has more credibility? Obviously, testimonials in the voice-of-the-customer, focused on how you helped them, offer the highest level of proof that what your company is different and better. A few positive words from the person who pays the bills for your products and services has greater value than all the words you can say about yourself.
3.) Case studies are a gift that keeps giving.
A well-prepared case study does not age. It will serve your needs for a great long while. Of equal importance: the content of a case study has multiple other uses as a direct mailer (e-blasts or mail), collateral support material (print and online), as well as feedstock for effective communications via your company’s website.
